Calculators are bringing smiles in Khunotswane
Although it may sound like a little thing to us, students learning math in the village of Khunotswane recently received 16 calculators to help them with their studies. Knowing how to use a calculator is a very valuable skill that can help prepare these students for future careers. Having support from their local church is an important part of these student’s education and development. Not only can they get help from the volunteers at their after-school program, but they can learn from and teach their peers and be encouraged by the people and success around them.

No child should go to sleep hungry
This is a firm belief of Orchard: Africa and our network pastors across South Africa. It isn’t a suggestion or an opinion. It is a fact and it is one of the reasons that we all do the work that we do. In October, the village of Madutle received a food donation and a visit from the South African National Defense Force. This is great news for the village and for the pastors because their hard work is reaping fruit for the people of their community.
