The Blessed Ordinary

Jesus, in His most famous sermon, often called The Sermon on the Mount, begins by basically saying, “I want to tell you eight ways to be happy.” In His teaching on these keys to a blessed life, He is telling us that the things we think will make us happy are simply empty promises. To put it another way, Jesus is saying you are your own worst enemy. You cause most of your own problems. When we deal with this reality in light of Jesus desires for us to be truly happy, we can begin by treating the real problems in our lives rather than just the symptoms.
