SUMMARY:Prayer Over Victory Forward
DESCRIPTION:Prayer Over Victory Forward — Monday\, June 16 @ 9:00am\n\n\n\nWe are gathering on Monday\, just one hour before the first showing of Season Five of The Chosen\, for a time of Spirit-led\, unified prayer. Will you join me in prayer? Come early. Come expectant. \n\n\n\nAs Victory Lutheran Church steps into the bold vision of Victory Forward—launching new mission sites\, multiplying disciples\, and expanding God’s kingdom impact across the East Valley—we must remember this foundational truth: nothing of lasting\, spiritual fruit will happen apart from prayer. We are not pursuing this mission by human effort alone. It must be empowered by the Holy Spirit. That’s why Victory’s Vision Statement concludes with such Spirit-filled conviction: \n\n\n\n“Victory Lutheran Church is a joyful and loving community that transforms and deploys Christ-centered disciples who lead others into God’s mission frontiers\, empowered by the Holy Spirit.” \n\n\n\nThe future we long for—where lives are changed\, churches are planted\, and disciples are deployed—is not built on clever strategies or organizational strength. Strategies may help us stay focused\, but only God’s Spirit can make dry bones live (Ezekiel 37:1-14)\, breathe new life into neighborhoods\, and awaken faith in hearts. Victory Forward is more than a mission campaign. It’s a spiritual movement. And every spiritual movement begins with prayer. “Unless the Lord builds the house\, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

SUMMARY:LCMC Three Days of Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“One generation shall commend Your works to another\, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” ~ Psalm 145:4 \n\n\n\nBelieving God is calling His people at Victory Lutheran to pray in 2025\, we invite you to join your voices together with thousands of other disciples of Jesus Christ from around the world and our international association of churches (Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ) for an intentional time of prayer.  \n\n\n\nWe thank God for placing this prayer burden upon us as we begin this new year. We ask the Holy Spirit to come and dwell among us as He brings us faith\, courage\, and passion to be God’s faithful prayer warriors and strong disciples of our Savior Jesus Christ. We approach God’s throne with confidence because we understand prayer is an opportunity to share our deepest heartaches and greatest joys with our Father who desires a personal relationship with each of us.   \n\n\n\nThis year\, Psalm 145 will be our guiding Scripture for this special time of prayer. During these three days we will thank our Almighty God for the past and seek the discernment of the Holy Spirit to show us God’s divine will for the future of LCMC and His people here at Victory Lutheran.    \n\n\n\nAs part of the LCMC Three Days of Prayer a special Prayer Service will be held at 10:00am Thursday January 9\, 2025\, in the courtyard Chapel. We invite all who are able to join us as we worship our Lord with a time of singing\, prayer and Holy Communion.   \n\n\n\nA PRAYER GUIDE is available in the link below to use as we set aside time for personal prayer and reflection at our homes or other locations that work for us each day.

SUMMARY:Prayer Walk
DESCRIPTION:Calling Upon God for Blessing \n\n\n\nHere we go; moving into a New Year! There will be so many challenges and opportunities. Anticipation of the unfolding days brings many thoughts of joy. New experiences await us. Yet there is the reality that hard times await some of us. \n\n\n\nOn our daily journey through 2025 we can count on our Lord’s abiding presence. No matter what we face He is always with us. Often I forget His presence. What helps us remember? Conversation! Yes\, daily\, hourly conversation with God. What kind of conversation? Use the Bible to get started. Read a verse or a chapter of Scripture. Through it God is talking to us. Ask Him\, “what do you want me to learn or know about YOU and about my life as your child?” As we do engage in prayer we will be blessed. \n\n\n\nOn Thursday\, January 2\, 10:00am\, the Victory Prayer Team invites you to be with us as we employ this powerful tool of God’s grace. We will begin our year by doing a prayer walk within our church. Stopping in each area\, specifically praying for the ministries. We’ll be in the sanctuary\, fellowship hall\, classrooms\, recording studio\,entry\, offices\, chapel\, parking lot\, and kitchen. \n\n\n\nI’m looking forward to how the Holy Spirit will grant us the words to speak to Him. \n\n\n\nSherry Olson\, Facilitator of Thursday Victory Prayer Team
