DESCRIPTION:As you may know\, the neurological condition known as Dementia that affects the brain\, causing loss of memory\, thinking\, and reasoning has life altering effects of many individuals and families. Victory Lutheran Church is offering a powerful three-part series on Dementia Education. Session One\, January 14\, 2025\, deals with brain changes that happen during the dementia journey. We will learn how dementia affects each area of the brain and how we\, as caregivers\, can work with the disease instead of against it. Session Two\, February 11\, 2025\, deals with how we can learn to focus on what our loved ones can do and use that knowledge to make our caregiving journey easier and more fulfilling for us and our loved ones. Session Three\, March 11\, 2025\, teaches us to master three techniques that will make our days go by faster and will help keep our loved one happy and entertained. Each session also includes a question-and-answer section at the end of each seminar\, and adult day care is provided should anyone have the need for it. For more information about this seminar series\, and to let us know how many from your congregation may be attending\, please contact Lynda Buechner at lyndabuechner@gmail.com. \n\n\n\nAdult day care is available for anyone you bring that will be needing an activity while you attend the seminar. Please click below to SIGN UP or at the Welcome Desk so that we may plan appropriately for those who will attend.

SUMMARY:Dementia Educational Seminar
DESCRIPTION:As you may know\, the neurological condition known as Dementia that affects the brain\, causing loss of memory\, thinking\, and reasoning has life altering effects of many individuals and families. Victory Lutheran Church is offering a powerful three-part series on Dementia Education. Session One\, January 14\, 2025\, deals with brain changes that happen during the dementia journey. We will learn how dementia affects each area of the brain and how we\, as caregivers\, can work with the disease instead of against it. Session Two\, February 11\, 2025\, deals with how we can learn to focus on what our loved ones can do and use that knowledge to make our caregiving journey easier and more fulfilling for us and our loved ones. Session Three\, March 11\, 2025\, teaches us to master three techniques that will make our days go by faster and will help keep our loved one happy and entertained. Each session also includes a question-and-answer section at the end of each seminar\, and adult day care is provided should anyone have the need for it. For more information about this seminar series\, and to let us know how many from your congregation may be attending\, please contact Lynda Buechner at lyndabuechner@gmail.com. \n\n\n\nAdult day care is available for anyone you bring that will be needing an activity while you attend the seminar. Please click below to SIGN UP or at the Welcome Desk so that we may plan appropriately for those who will attend.
