DESCRIPTION:Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing a difficult time in life\, such as grief\, divorce\, job loss\, chronic or terminal illness\, or relocation. \n\n\n\nStephen Ministers are trained by their congregation’s Stephen Leaders using resources from Stephen Ministries St. Louis. The training they receive in the congregation equips them to provide high-quality care to people who are hurting. \n\n\n\nCare receivers are individuals in the congregation or community who are going through a crisis or life difficulty. Potential care receivers first meet with a pastor or Stephen Leader\, who assesses their needs for care and matches them with a Stephen Minister.  \n\n\n\nAfter being matched with a person experiencing a life crisis\, the Stephen Minister meets with that person on a weekly basis for about an hour to listen\, care\, encourage\, and provide emotional and spiritual support. DESCRIPTION:Launching New  \n\n\n\nCONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SERVICE @ 11:00AMBeginning April 7th\, Victory Lutheran will introduce a Contemporary Worship Service at 11:00am on Sunday mornings. Following Easter\, the 11:00am service will shift from traditional to contemporary music\, led by a praise team under the guidance of Jackie Jewel. \n\n\n\nThis new service has been a long-requested and carefully planned endeavor. While contemporary worship has been a part of Victory for over twenty years\, it hasn’t been present at the Mesa campus for quite some time. \n\n\n\nIt’s important to note that traditional worship remains the cornerstone of Victory’s worship experience. This is our primary focus. We’re not aiming to “blend” traditional and contemporary styles. Our Saturday service at 4:00pm and Sunday services at 8:00am and 9:30am will continue to uphold traditional styles with excellence. The 11:00am Sunday service will adopt a contemporary style\, also delivered with excellence.
