OUR MISSION

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

At Victory we want to be intentional about fulfilling the command of Jesus in Acts 1:8 where He calls us to be His witnesses to Jerusalem (the congregation), Judea (our community), Samaria (regionally) and the ends of the earth (globally).

Based on this scripture Victory supports three levels of mission:

1. Jerusalem – LOCAL – I-HELP, Family Promise, Food Bank

2. Judea and Samaria – REGIONAL Navajo Lutheran Mission

3. Ends of the Earth – GLOBAL – Orchard: Africa (Dihatshwane, South Africa), Operation Christmas Child

I-HELP PROGRAM
Twice a month, Victory houses homeless women.  Through the help of Lutheran Social Services, we provide them with a place to spend the night, a shower and a meal. If you think you might be interested in this ministry, call Bev Locke at 480-854-2546 or come and see how it works on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Plan to arrive at the Food Bank gate about 4:00pm. We can always find a task for you and the ladies love to visit with us.

SUPPLIES NEEDED: We are always in need of travel size toiletries, sun screen, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products. The Victory “supply closet” also supports Family Promise, Food Bank clients and Shirley’s Angels. Your donations are not wasted!
