Ciao, Victory Lutheran Family!
Day one was full of connecting flights and layover, but also friendships and comraderies springing up from the group. We began our day with the Arizona team meeting at Church and heading off towards the airport, in which banter and laughs immediately ensued. I could tell just by the energy of my fellow pilgrims, that the Holy Spirit is with us, filling us with joy and excitement for our spiritual tour together. From the Phoenix airport we took off to Denver International Airport, which took us on our longest flight lasting around 9 hours, taking us into Germany’s Frankfurt International Airport, which finally brought us to our first stop of the trip, Malta!
Malta, as many of you may recall from the book of Acts, was the island where Paul and his shipmates sought refuge after being shipwrecked. It was here that Paul performed miracles and was bitten by a venomous snake, yet he remained unharmed. Day Two will mark the beginning of us directly following Paul’s footsteps by visiting where he and his crew originally crashed off of the coast thousands of years ago. Stay tuned as I keep you updated with Victory’s spiritual pilgrimage, while we here walk alongside Paul’s final journey, and experience pieces and places of the Gospel.
