First Holy Communion

Attention all children 7 years and up who have not received their First Communion! On April 13th we will meet in room B7 for First Communion training for all children 7 years and up along with their parents. Our First Communion will be held on Thursday, April 17 during our Maundy Thursday service at 6:00pm.
During the class we will explain the Last Supper, Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the Meaning of Communion. The Lord’s Supper gives us the promise through the earthly elements of bread and wine that our sins are forgiven. We are the passive recipients of God’s forgiveness. We do nothing to deserve this. It’s Christ’s words that through His body and blood our sins are forgiven, that makes it so. Our faith and our conduct have nothing to do with the efficacy of the sacrament.
