Prayer Over Victory Forward — Monday, June 16 @ 9:00am

We are gathering on Monday, just one hour before the first showing of Season Five of The Chosen, for a time of Spirit-led, unified prayer. Will you join me in prayer? Come early. Come expectant.

As Victory Lutheran Church steps into the bold vision of Victory Forward—launching new mission sites, multiplying disciples, and expanding God’s kingdom impact across the East Valley—we must remember this foundational truth: nothing of lasting, spiritual fruit will happen apart from prayer. We are not pursuing this mission by human effort alone. It must be empowered by the Holy Spirit. That’s why Victory’s Vision Statement concludes with such Spirit-filled conviction:

“Victory Lutheran Church is a joyful and loving community that transforms and deploys Christ-centered disciples who lead others into God’s mission frontiers, empowered by the Holy Spirit.”

The future we long for—where lives are changed, churches are planted, and disciples are deployed—is not built on clever strategies or organizational strength. Strategies may help us stay focused, but only God’s Spirit can make dry bones live (Ezekiel 37:1-14), breathe new life into neighborhoods, and awaken faith in hearts. Victory Forward is more than a mission campaign. It’s a spiritual movement. And every spiritual movement begins with prayer. “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)
