Victory Lutheran
2025-2026 Concert Series
The 2025/2026 Concert Series at Victory Lutheran Church invites you on a vibrant musical journey that spans continents and cultures. This season features an eclectic mix of ensembles—from classical chamber groups and dynamic duos to our own choir and bells—each bringing their unique interpretation of music from around the world. Every performance celebrates the universal language of music and the joy of shared artistry. Join us for a season of inspiration, diversity, and musical excellence in the heart of our community. All concerts are at 3pm on Sunday* followed by a reception. Freewill offerings are joyfully accepted. Please invite a friend and join as we, together with all the earth, make music to the Lord.
Enjoy the sounds of Victory’s Bigelow Opus 17 organ, which was built in the German Baroque style, much like the instruments that inspired Bach. Our Director of Worship and Music, Dr. Kristin Holton Prouty, will be sharing music from Bach as well as some of the composers that influenced him. Entrance is free, but donations to continue the music ministry at Victory Lutheran are greatly appreciated. Reception to follow.
Tetra String Quartet is an Arizona nonprofit organization that serves the community and empowers the next generation through performing and teaching chamber music. Tetra was formed in 2010, and they are proud to be both educators and performers. They have received awards, and traveled the world performing, but their mission is local in Arizona, sharing music with members of the community who often do not have access to quality classical experiences. Entrance is free, but donations are warmly accepted. Come enjoy the beautiful music and support this fine ensemble! Bring a friend and stay for the reception.
Celebrate the season with the elegance and beauty of European Christmas traditions! Join the Victory music ministry for a festive concert featuring classic carols, timeless anthems, and sacred music inspired by the rich heritage of Europe. Experience the joy and wonder of Christmas through stunning choral harmonies and shimmering bell choir performances, together with strings and trumpet. A reception will follow. Entrance is free, and donations are appreciated. Invite a friend to come share the spirit of Christmas in a truly memorable way.
Union32 (Keith Kelly, Adam Roberts, Brett Reed, Ben Hedquist, and Jacob Eary) present new arrangements of classic tunes and forgotten gems in their "Music of Dave Brubeck" concert at Victory Lutheran on January 18th at 3pm. Come hear a mix of old and new favorites as this creative jazz quintet performs tracks from the rich and diverse catalog of jazz composer, pianist, and bandleader Dave Brubeck - including Take Five, Stange Meadowlark, Brandenburg Gate, and others.

Piano: Aillyn Unglaub Schmitz
Journey through soundscapes that span nations, eras, and emotions in Echoes Across Continents, an intimate afternoon of violin and piano featuring the Unglaub Duo with violinist Dr. Alisson Unglaub and pianist Aillyn Unglaub Schmitz.
The program brings together the lush romanticism of César Franck’s Violin Sonata in A major—a masterwork of radiant lyricism and sweeping passion; the bold imagination, sharp-edged brilliance, and playful intensity of Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata No. 2; and the expressive, charming Brazilian waltz of Francisco Mignone’s Valsa de Esquina. Each piece offers its own world of color and character, inviting listeners into a concert where emotion, storytelling, and artistry span far beyond borders.
Echoes Across Continents invites listeners to experience how music transcends geography—uniting cultures, stories, and generations through a single shared sound.
Experience an evening of Puerto Rican lyricism as tenor Carlos Feliciano and pianist–composer Luis Rodríguez present a vibrant program of art songs celebrating the island’s poetic and musical traditions. The concert will highlight beloved folk rhythms—including the danza and décima— featuring some of Rodríguez’s own evocative compositions. Join us for a performance that honors Puerto Rico’s cultural heritage with elegance, passion, and contemporary artistry.
Join us for a deeply moving Good Friday Cantata, a musical commemoration of the crucifixion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is also a chance to experience the moving Tenebrae service that features the progressive extinguishing of candles, combined with the reading and singing of psalms and hymns, heightens the experience, symbolizing the growing darkness that fell over the world as Jesus suffered on the cross. This is more than just a service—it’s a profound musical journey that invites deep reflection and worship.
