Famous German Lutheran Pastor , Dietrich Bonhoeffer, wrote “The Christian does not live in a vacuum, but in a world of government, politics, labor and marriage.” This means that Christian ethics cannot exist in a vacuum.
So, what does that mean for us as Christians in today’s secularized world? Do God’s commandments apply to the secular world as well as the
non-secular world? If yes, what role should we as Christinas play in making sure God’s commandments are followed? What about the separation of church and state? Should Christians just stay out of politics all together?
