As Christians, we have the awesome opportunity to serve our holy God in so many ways! He gives each of us unique gifts and calls us to use them to bless others. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
At Victory, you can serve in quite a variety of ways f rom greeting people at the main doors, ushering, preparing and serving communion, singing in the choir, playing in the bell choir, reading the scripture during the services, lighting the candles for worship services, visiting shut-ins, serving soup during at Lenten suppers, participating in the weekly prayer meeting, leading Bible studies, serving on the Church Council or Foundation, and even building storage shelves! All acts of service serve the Lord and His Church.
Serving others is not only beneficial for the soul but also brings joy and fulfillment. Yes, Victory Forward is also about getting involved, serving, growing spiritually and in community.
