Como stai Victory? I hope you are all doing fantastico! Today was our last day of just traveling which has led us into Roma! We flew into our destination from Cantania, a major city outside of Taormina where we were staying for our time in Sicily. We arrived in the capital of Italia shortly after 1PM, and began our bus drive through Rome, stopping in the town of Frascati, which is known for its wonderful gelato. Many of us indulged in pizza, ice cream, and coffee during the break. Then we gather back into the bus to finish the journey to our hotel, a decommissioned palace in the village of Grottaferrata! It’s situated atop a hill with a beautiful view of Rome across from us!
We have finally made it to our last leg of the journey, where Paul stepped his last steps while dealing with the Romans of his time. Tomorrow and the following day will see us on some of the most spiritually potent moments of the trip. Stay tuned as we prepare to venture through the San Callisto Catacombs, the Vatican, and the Sistine Chapel, just to name a few! Ciao, and may the Lord bless you with his overwhelming love that surpasses our human understanding, as he has done for each of us on the pilgrimage this far!
