What to Expect

Here's a quick and friendly guide on what to expect when you visit:

We are thrilled to have you join us! Enjoy the special parking spaces near the entrance specifically designated for first-time visitors, just like yourself. Additionally, we have a wonderful gift for you. Don’t forget to complete our connect card and bring it to the Welcome Center to receive your gift!

You’ll find us at 5946 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85205. Parking is a breeze with our large lot right on the premises.

We love having families around! Your little ones are more than welcome at our services and we love the sound of kids in worship. Plus, we have an unstaffed nursery available during all services where you can still catch the service being played.

We can’t wait to meet you and share in a wonderful worship experience together at Victory Lutheran Church!

You have options! We offer both in-person services and online live streams of our Sunday 9:30am service, as well as all special events/services. In person worship happens Saturdays at 4pm and Sundays 8am & 9:30am. We also have a Contemporary Lutheran Worship that happens every Sunday at 11am (more info here). Join us however you feel most at ease.

We’re pretty relaxed about what you wear. ‘Sunday Best’ can mean different things to different people. We want you to feel comfortable and be yourself.

We offer communion every week at the 8 a.m. Sunday services. We also have communion every first weekend of the month in all services. We practice open communion, so no matter your background, you’re welcome to participate!

Worship Style

At Victory Lutheran Church, our worship style is rooted in the traditional Lutheran experience, featuring a variety of meaningful elements that create a memorable atmosphere for our congregation.

Music

Our services showcase classic hymns accompanied by organ and/or piano, evoking a sense of history and continuity within our faith. We also feature guest artists and musicians such as singers, violinists, cellists, oboists, flutists, brass players and much more taking the worship experience to the next level. We have the privilege to have our choir with us on every Sunday from Fall to Spring and the bell choir in most of the services.

Creeds

We follow a structured liturgical format, incorporating elements such as the Invocation, Confession, Absolution, Scripture readings, Sermon, Creed, and Prayers of the People. This rhythm fosters familiarity and unity among our congregation.

Sermons

Our sermons are grounded in Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions, providing spiritual nourishment and guidance for our daily lives. Our pastoral team is committed to delivering engaging and thought-provoking messages.

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer, and our services include moments of both communal and individual prayer. We also host a monthly Prayer and Praise Worship in our Chapel for deeper connection with God and fellow believers.

Fellowship

Our worship experience extends beyond the Sanctuary as we cultivate a strong sense of community and spiritual relationships. We encourage our congregation to participate in various ministries, Bible studies, and small groups to deepen connections with one another and grow in faith together.
