Jesus encounters the disciples on the raging sea during a storm. He comes to them walking on the water. In the middle of the chaos, Jesus invites Peter out of the boat and onto the water with Him. Peter takes the first steps onto the waves, but loses sight of Jesus. When his focus shifts, He begins to sink. Jesus reaches out his hand and asks a very important question, “Why do you doubt”? There are many times in life where we will come face to face with scary, uncertain and difficult times. We must keep our faith and trust that Jesus will keep us above the waves.
