Three Jewish boys living in a foreign land risk their very lives to remain faithful to God. Even though King Nebuchadnezzar commands everyone to worship him, Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego refuse to worship anyone other than Yahweh. The faith almost costs them their lives as they are thrown into the fiery furnace. But even in the worst of circumstances, they are not alone. God was with them. When we boldly proclaim our faith like these three, we can expect push back and consequences. We can rest assured that God will not leave us nor forsake us. He will be in the fire with us.
