On the night of the first Passover, God's people rested in the safety of a lamb’s blood, spread on their doorposts in faithful obedience—while death passed over them. In worship today, we gather at the Lord’s Table under that same promise, sheltered by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. As judgment falls around us, we find peace not in ourselves, but in the body and blood of Christ, our perfect Passover sacrifice, given for us.
